Hey guys green here. Today i went to a regionals with my current deck, chaos dragons. It was kinda thrown together, main and sidewise, but altogether i felt it did well. Without further ado.
Deck Played: Chaos Dragons
Participants: 505
Round 1:
Dino Rabbit
I lost the die roll.
G1: Rabbit Dna digivolves, and my hand is full of jank. Nothing i can summon or use to fill my grave. I drop a Gorz under Evolzar Dolkka to force out a negation and then Reborn it. Unfortunately he has Fiendish Chain to stop my attack, and Smashing Ground to wipe out my Lifepoints on the following turn.
G2: I saw basically the same jank hand, with one difference: I had a ryko. Ryko got dark holed, and it was rabbits and tour guides from there.

So, A round one loss against my best matchup... Not the best way to start.

Round 2:
Gladiator Beasts
I lost the die roll.
G1: All i saw was tkro before my ryko killed it, and i threw a large number of big beatsticks at him.
G2: I saw the first GBs. Painfully. I got chariot looped for days. He literally activated the same chariot 2-3 times before killing me finally with bestiari and laquari.
G3: A long drawn out game that ended with my fiendish chained chaos and lyla and bls in hand with judgment set vs. His macro, face-down and chain. Summoned lyla, popped chain, dropped bls and attacked for game.

So that was scary... It was also a little worrying that i lost a game to another very good matchup....
Round 3:
Bubblebeat
I lost the die roll.
G1: Heavy storm followed by big beatsticks.
G2: Giant Absolute Zero play clears my board, and his shining sweeps up the rest of my life.
G3: His last resort is a shining, which swings over my redmd. I drop chaos, banish it and attack for game

Dark Worlds
This girl goes to my locals sometimes... She ended up X-4
G1: She drew horribly, so the big beaters poked her to death.
G2: She drew slightly less horribly, but not by much.

Round 5:
Wind-ups
I lost the die roll.... Not that it mattered lol.
G1: I got a game loss for having a few commons in my deck box... REALLY?
G2: He opens wind-up loop + pot of avarice, along with a dark hole for my set ryko, and a warning for my topdecked tour guide.

Round 6:
Chaos Dragons
I lost the die roll! 6 in a row!!! but this one was also irrelevant xP
G1: On turn 4 he recieved a game loss for not removing his sided decrees and soul takers. I had seen he was playing chaos dragons, but all he saw from me was a tour guide and a sangan.
G2: He drew no bosses other than one chaos sorc i veilered. My DAD REDMD and lightpulsar killed him through 2 set rykos O.O

Round 7:
Dino Rabbit
I won my first die roll!!! Go ME!
G1: He made a first turn dolkka to kill my ryko. He then booked the lyla i attempted to summon and got over it with guiaba, making laggia in M2. I ripped charge and milled 2!!! Eclipse Wyvern. He negged one with dolkka for some reason. This ended up costing him the game. I searched lyla, normalled it, and used honest to attack over his laggia. M2 i popped one of his backrow and EP i milled some darks.
He summoned guiaba with no targets left in deck and went for some beatdown. I dropped a dark flare adding redmd dragon to hand with wyvern. Banished it and my comeback to control was complete!
G2: A slowpaced early game with him not drawing rabbit. Kabazauls puts in work for him, backed my macro and several warnings. After baiting most of his backrow, i drop tour guide, leviair for lyla and pop macro. He's forced to waste more cards to get rid of leviair, so i drop a lot of damage in the next turn, and he conceeds.

Round 8:
Gravekeepers
I lose die roll again.
G1: First turn royal tribute. To G2 we go!
G2: I draw outs to his necrovalleys and bring out the pulsar lock.
G3: First turn royal tribute. Again.

A disappointing loss to one of my old decks. Royal tribute is too good against this deck.
Round 9
Hero Drain
G1: He doesn't draw skill drain, and REDMD pushes easily through all in its path.
G2: He draws skill drain, but is forced to heavy storm it to get out maestroke when he should have made pearl.

Final Standing: 71st
The good: Winning against rabbit. Seeing friends. Playing good yugioh, Friend from locals took 12th
The bad: Lost almost every die roll. Getting a DQ for trying to keep my commons mint.
The ugly: Loss to rabbit r1. Not having royal decrees.
