Yep. I'm not dead. Its been awhile since i've had anything to report here, but today I went to locals with inzektors. There were 21 people.
R1: Dark World
An easy matchup...... So I thought
G1: Turn 2 Dropped Card Destruction showed me goldd double snoww and grapha. As you may have guessed, I lost this one.
G2: Decree and Inzektors tromped all over skill drain.
G3: Opens Ko'aki meiru doom, Set 3 backrow. I'm like..... Dafuq? I duality into zektcaliber and summon centipede equip it, and attack. She flips dimensional prison and I do a double take. First thing is D-prison in dark world??????? Second thing is not siding out d-prison for inzektor. So i take the minus one and proceed to not draw monsters for 5 turns, so I get poked to death by janky dark world shit and I'm salty and mad etc.
XOX
0-1
So now since this is a sunday tourny I'm basically playing for a shot at a Hobby League.
R2: Yugilo.dek
It was some kinda atlantean thing with a lot of monsters. Yugilo probably has it on his channel that i'm too lazy to link.
G1: The Inzektors nut and i win quickly.
G2: Double Thunder king and veiler carries me through 2 diva drops and his in-hand crow and veiler.
OO
1-1
R3: Blackwings
G1: I managed to take control and quickly win
G2: I open up with little-no monsters and get destroyed by his zephyros + backrow.
G3: It drags out until I can play around his 2 in-hand crows and just win.
OXO
R4: Wind-ups
So yeah, I was pretty interested to see how my side etc. would work
G1: I open 2 Ladybugs and DAD. I almost make a comeback with mystic tomato, but he has the warning for exact game.
G2: I open thunder king, which he soul takers and reborns. I card trooper and crash with it. Setting call. I gain advantage through floaters and inzektor him to death once he's out of cards.
G3: I get a lot of sides and i end up holding gozen match and veiler so I can push to the board without fear of him pushing back
XOO
So the 4 dedicated side cards definitely put in work. I also loved my mained tkro's in the deck, as they slowed down tempo a lot and gave me time to set up my plays. This ended up being the last round, so i finished up 3-1 and got a Hobby League Giant Rat. Yay!
After further testing with inzektors, it feels like i should be running 3 thunder king and 3 tomato mained. The ability to have cards stand alone is absolutely vital for the deck, especially when i open with just centipede or ladybug.
Until next time - Tsgreen!

Locals Report 9/23/12
So yeah. Went at 11 for kaijudo league. Got a few games in, think i won like 3 and lost 4 or something, which is decent considering my card pool is very poor. Before the tournament, I switched out a spirit reaper and something else for 2 veilers in inzektors. They were ok i guess. I think i may test ladybugs in place of hopper just to see how it does..... So yeah on to the report
~40 participants
R1: Little kid.dek
So yeah. He was making skilled plays like summon junk synchro with no targets in grave, special summon junk servant, set 3 of a kind and royal decree and end turn. The inzektors tore him to pieces quickly.
OO
1-0
R2: Wabbit season
My worst matchup appears!
G1: No monsters, I lose in 4 turns to a sabersaurus and catastor. I manage to conceal what I'm playing tho.
G2: He sets massive backrow, but I grind through it with inzektors.
G3: See g2.
He made some weird plays. He kept commiting things to board even after i had shown i could pop all of them.....
XOO
2-0
R3: Heroes
Another bad matchup
G1: I go off and quickly stomp the heroes into submission by doing unfair things.
G2: The heroes stomp me. Stratos and pot of duality openings "are good yo"
G3: Long drawn out game. Eventually simplifies to my utopia decree and set judgment vs. his 2 in hand. He dark holes and miracle fuses, dropping me to 3000. I top hopper, and blow away his shining, attacking to drop him to 1400 lp. his stratos swings over my hopper on the following turn, and he sets a backrow before ending. I top a centipede, pop stratos and attack for game.
OXO
3-0
R4: Malefic Skill Drain
And i thought rabbit was the worst: I thought wrong.
G1: Skill drain and necrovalley too stronk
G2: He gets a god hand of heavy storm, gearframe, malefic cyber end, necrovalley, prohibition, and skill drain.
XX
3-1
R5: Rabbit redux
Again?
G1: He opens rabbit tgu and pot of avarice, and gold sarcs for heavy storm. I manage to hold out through all of this, only to get the game stolen by his topdecked bls.
G2: Rabbit Tgu Heavy storm.
XX
3-2
So that was disapointing.
R6: No show
He feared the bugs too much.
4-2
So yeah. I went X-2 and scrubbed. I'll adapt to what i saw from billy brake's build, props to him for the t8! I guess i can retest card trooper. Who knows, maybe this time it won't mill heavy reborn and dark hole. Maybe.

A brief update
Billy brake is 7-1 with inzektors at a ycs right now, which is pretty cool i guess.... Also, I'll be at locals tomorrow for kaijudo league. Expect a report tomorrow night! Tsgreen, signing out.

Inzektors: Moving Forward
So, Since this will probably be my deck for some time now, it needs work. First thing is, I want to main fiendish chains due to their synergy with zephyros and just general inzektor shenanigans with giving extra targets for destruction. I also am planning on retesting snowman eater mained. The difficulties of the rabbit matchup cannot be overstated. I'd like some help with ideas, constructive comments appreciated. (Yes, I know i actually won't get any comments).

9/8/2012 Anaheim Regionals Report
I wanted to play something rogue, but worms had really pissed me off at a locals i didnt bother reporting about 2 weeks back. Basically, I opened worm king 12 games in a row. So that was completely out of the question. After some playtesting on dn, i decided to go with inzektors. Honestly, It was a good choice. There was not a lot of side-decked hate, and most of my losses were due to sacks/issues with my shuffling rather than anything else. I didn't expect to do as well as i did, but it was disappointing to get so close to topping and be shut out by my shit tiebreaks again. The regional was huge, like 600+ with like 400-500 more people who weren't allowed because the room was too small. I arrived at the event about 7:00 AM, which gave me plenty of time to chase down pieces of fluff like super rare armageddon knights. I got in line to register at about 8:30 AM, which meant that i was finally registered at about 11:30. Seriously. There were that many people. A bunch of people from locals, didn't get registered :(. Sorry guys. So round 1, really wasn't sure what to expect.
Round 1
Vs. Dark World
So this matchup is one of the reasons i decided to play this deck.
G1: I opened with Dragonfly Call of the Haunted and Armageddon knight. He didn't main skill drain, so i won.
G2: He made a first turn fabled raven into stardust play..... Ok sir? I used tgu to make acid golem and swing over it. He locked himself with reckless greed, and eventually wasted his last Dark world in hand with dealings trying to hit an out. He revealed to me his in-hand d.d. crow and Gates and scooped.
OO
1-0
Inzektor 1-0. Lol.
Round 2:
Vs. Windups
A mediocre matchup.
G1: I open up tour guide, which gets hit by effect veiler. I set a bottomless trap hole and solemn warning and end. He Summons Thunder king rai-oh, which gets hit by bottomless. I summon my in-hand inzektor hornet and xyz for leviair, Stealing his thunder king. He attempts to bottomless, and i chain forbidden lance. He takes both attacks directly, and on the thunder king, drops gorz, which i warning. He sets a monster and passes the turn. I summon armageddon knight and mill out zephyros. With a board of arma knight, thunder king, and leviair, i try to think of what he could possibly be playing. My first thought on the set monster is that its a snowman eater, but, i didnt think he was playing windups, the only deck that mains snowman eaters regularly. I decided to swing with tkro and what do you know? Snowman eater. It killed my thunder king. I passed turn back. on his turn, he summoned rabbit and activated factory. He banished the rabbit to search shark. lolok. On my turn, i detached from leviair to steal his rabbit, bounced back arma knight for zephyros, resummoned arma knight, overlayed for papilloperative and leviathan dragon to take game 1.
G2: He drew horribly, drawing three msts and 3 snowman eaters, which for some reason he didnt side out. He still almost had the game with a tkro, carrier and rabbit, but i topped hornet to go with my in-hand hopper, allowing me to swing over tkro and pop carrier m2, dropping him to exactly 1700 lp. He set his topped snowman eater with rabbit on board....... Allowing me to equip my other in grave hopper and attack for exact game.
OO
2-0
So 2-0 with inzektors having 2-0d two highly competitve meta decks.... As i jokingly remarked to a friend before this round, it was time for me to get 2-0d by rabbit.
Round 3:
Rabbit
G1: He opened 2 rabbit and 2 veiler. gg bro.
G2: He drew slightly worse this game, but not by a lot. He made a dolkka backed by a pair of lances that took down my gigamantis'd hornet and my bls. gg again bro.
XX
2-1
So yeah. Fun shit.
Round 4
T.G. Stun
G1: I drew and searched my combo pieces. He drew and searched, but didnt get skill drain. gg.
G2: See above.
OO
3-1
Round 5
Zombie Plants
G1: Stomped by my inzektor shenanigans when he drew no outs.
G2: BLS and reborn killed me.
G3: A long grind game, I finally managed to set up some inzektor shits and activate a d-fissure to make his foolish burial dead.
OXO
4-1
Round 6
Hero Beat
G1: Game loss. We both got deck checked. I was told to resleeve, and he was missing a d-prison from his deck.
G2: He opened heavy storm stratos and monster reborn. I died.
G3: He opened the same thing again.
OXX
4-2
Must be nice.
Round 7
Infernity
G1: He went off on turn 3, and because i had chosen to set sangan instead of summon thunder king, i lost.
G2: I prohibited his archfiend, he had a copy stuck in his hand, and that basically screwed him over.
Also, this guy was a lot of fun to play, and we made some jokes about him siding in prohibition to call prohibition. funny shit lol.
G3: A long ass grind game. He blew it open by dropping heavy storm to blow away my 5 backrow and his 4 and then summoned his last card in hand, an infernity mirage. I dropped my in-hand veiler, and he lost.
5-2
Round 8
Rabbit
G1: Armageddon knight, Call and dragonfly. Is nice.
G2: Macro rabbit and tour guide. Is also nice.
G3: Macro and vanillas killed me while i had no monsters.
OXX
He wasnt very good either :(
5-3
Round 9
No show
6-3
Round 10
Dragunity
G1: Bls, Zephyros and catastor otkd him
G2: Bls killed him again.
OO
He was very mad.
7-3
So i finished 7-3 and in 65th place. Bad tiebreaks suck.
Round 1

Obligatory post about new format before new format has begun
Everyone seems to make one of these, so here's mine. I'm just going to go over a deck by deck commentary heading in to toronto.
Dark World: The most intimidating deck of the format. With no hits, this deck has only gotten better with the disappearance of inzektors. With no more autoloss matchups, dw can cut cards like skill drain and focus on becoming faster and more consistent. Definitely a deck to watch out for, although the deck is its own worst enemy. The horrendous mirror match, death via natbeast and macro, and possibility of absolutely horrible hands make this deck a difficult one to label as "the deck:" to win this event. It should be guaranteed at least a t16 spot or two though.
Heroes: The other deck unhit by the list. This deck has even more problems than dark world in the return of cards such as thunder king to prominence. The Bubblebeat variant looks even less consistent than it was previously, the beat variant is shut down by cards like naturia beast, and with dark worlds so prominent, I expect that while this deck will be a popular choice, it will not capture more than a t32 spot or two.
Plants: The most hyped up of the returning decks. Can it reclaim its throne in toronto? My answer to this question would be no. Without gub and tengu, this deck is slower and more passive than it was even when it was phased out at the end of march 2011 format. With the dark world matchup being pretty much an automatic loss, and maxx c still just as big a problem for this deck, this seems like nothing more than hype. If any of these sneak into the t32, I will be very surprised.
Wind-ups: From my playtesting, this deck is my personal favorite to win YCS toronto. The deck has quite a bit in its favor. From the lack of bad meta matchups to the ability to otk with 2 cards, to the sheer consistency and explosiveness, this i feel, is the deck to beat. With the ability to side into dfissure, decks like plants and dark worlds simply cannot handle it. I expect this to be a major competitor.
Agents: Chaos dragons with their bosses without the consistency of chaos dragons. No thank you. Seriously though, this deck has worse dead draws than rabbit, and with the lack of good builds for the current metagame, I expect it to play a small part, if any.
Rabbit: The deck that survives everything? It does not seem to have gone too well through the loss of consistency in losing 1 rabbit and 1 tgu, so i do not expect it to compete majorly. 1-2 in t32 at best.
As you can see, my top decks is not really rounded out, so something will probably surprise me. I probably left out some decks too x.x. Obviously, decks like karakuri geargia and samurai also have a shot. I don't know how this new format will shape up, but hopefully it will be better than the last. I await YCS toronto with bated breath!

Satoshi List for real
So, the list that was floating around has been confirmed. Brio and future fusion are banned. I'm not going to go through this whole list, but basically it hits a bunch of cards we slammed down on tables so konami can print us some new cards to slam on the table. Unfortunately, we still have heavy storm and 3 mst to allow us to continue to abuse tables. If you are a table and are being abused..... Konami doesn't give a fuck.

Locals Report 8-12-12
So, with the format winding down, I headed to my locals today for a sunday box tourny. My first time at locals with my new deck, worms....
Round 1
vs. Bad Empty Jar player.... He ran needle worm....
G1: He foolish burialed jar, and then tried to shallow grave when i had no monster in grave. My reaper took a card from his hand, and then i was able to reborn his jar, leaving him no real way to deck me out....
G2: He foolish burialed jar again, and this time he ate d.d. crow in response to his shallow grave. BLS and tour guide combined to otk him.
OO
1-0
So yeah.... That was kinda lolscrub....
Round 2
Dark World
G1: I managed to get up a lot of advantage, as he misplayed by xyzing and attacking yagan twice......
G2: A very long drawn out game with me stalling with spirit reaper and sim. He finally managed to dark hole away my reaper, only to lose out to bls and tour guide.
OO
2-0
Round 3
DEM WABBITZ
My first real test of worms against the meta....
G1: He opened rabbit into laggia, only to run into yagan, which he had to read :). He dropped another rabbit into laggia, and tried to heavy storm my 3 backrow, only to be defeated by starlight road and fiendish chain. Eventually, I resolved nebula meteorite to go +3 and gain advantage.
G2: He opened rabbit into laggia. I set yagan and set torrential fiendish and prohibition, as i read his set mst. He mstd torrential and went into dolkka. Dolkka negated my yagan, after laggia negated chain. Next turn i resolved dark hole and flipped prohibition, calling tour guide. He drew no significant monsters or backrow removal after that, and my worm king won handily. After the game he revealed his in-hand pair of tour guides.
OO
3-0
Round 4
EVIL TOYS.dek
G1: 3 yagans two torrentials and mst is my opening hand. I manage to keep him from looping me for much, and resolve a massive torrential to turn the game in my favor. I take his last lifepoints with a big push from BLS and Tour guide.
G2: I stop his initial loop with a veiler and then crash sangan into his carrier to search another veiler, drop bls and banish carrier. The next turn he dfissures, loops and uses zenmaines to get rid of my BLS.
G3: He resolves dfissure and loop, and with no significant backrow, i have difficulty retaliating. I keep a topdeck war going for a while, but eventually my dead draws finish me off.
OXX
So I am brutally outplayed by a very *skilled* wind-up player with a very *balanced* deck and some very *original* combos.
Round 5
Bubblebeat
G1: I warning his stratos and beat him down with xex until he desperately attempts to resolve miracle fusion with a bubbleman he set previously. I dark hole and monster reborn for game.
G2: He takes the early advantage, and super poly's my leviair to make great tornado. He summons alius, which i book of moon, leaving me a fiendish chain to stop his attack, only to have him miracle for shining, and game.
G3: All i remember is midgame, he overextends and leaves me 400 lp to his 3400. My 4 in hand to his alius shining blade armor and 2 backrow. I summon yagan monster reborn his bubbleman and yolo C39
for game.
OXO
Round 6
Gravekeepers
G1: He is savagely outplayed by my +3 nebula and cannot recover.
G2: He goes -1 on an ill advised royal tribute, then loses his board to shadow mirror and torrential. My Xex's and yagans beat him to death.
OO
5-1 overall.
So yeah, a good first test for worms. Major props to BrandonBalls of dueling network, a great admin, and a great help with my worm deck. Picked up some kaijudo stuff, so i'll see what i can do with that. Thanks for the great times to everyone there.

The wait is on....
This is the list that matters konami. After this format, the majority of players i know have little-no patience for profit-whoring bullshit. Either give us a good list, or there shall be goat control and magic for all. /end rant.
Seriously though the fake lists have begun, and i have taken apart my meta decks. Lets see what will happen.

A whole lot of bitching aka my banlist predictions
Without a doubt, the number one problem with this format is heavy storm. Heavy storm takes slower metas and spoon feeds them meth until they are moving at a about 6000 mph. It is my personal opinion that mass backrow destruction is unhealthy for the game. Backrow are the most skill intensive part of the game, so why do we need cards that get rid of multiple backrow for no cost? On a fundamental level, the risk of getting hit for a +1 or +2 from heavy is what makes backrow this format so insignificant. There is only one true backrow deck in the meta, and that is rabbit, a deck that naturally generates cards to protect its backrow. This is not to say i would like to see rabbit in a format without heavy; the deck is just far too good. Rabbit is without a doubt the most adaptable deck in the current meta, for its ability to survive things that seemed to spell certain doom for it, first the loss of priority, and later the arrival of chaos dragons on the meta. The three most important things i feel should happen with the banlist should be 1) the banning of heavy storm. With 3 mst and other cards such as night shot, i feel we have adequate backrow removal without resorting to overpowered cards like this. 2) The limitation of rabbit. This is the one card without a doubt i know the format can do without. 1 card 2400 solemn judgment is just too good. 3) limitation of wind-up rat. FTK's are without a doubt the most unhealthy thing for the meta. Maybe with these hits, we'd see less need for triplicates of annoying little spellcaster fairy things..... So yeah, this is my 3 things i feel that must absolutely happen for the next format to be kinda-almost-barely-skillful. Apologies for the break, been out of town for 27 days. Coming back X3.- Tsgreen

Windups win NAWCQ, and the significance.
So, as most of you already know, tyler tabman piloted windup "stun" to a victory at the NAWCQ this weekend. I applaud him for his intelligent meta choice. Now, some of us have to think... what does this mean for our meta? Will the resurgence of windups lead to the return of maindecked maxx cs? If windups catch on, even temporarily, the meta may see another shift, much like the one witnessed with the rise of chaos dragons. Chaos dragons i feel are the deck most affected by this change. The return to windups would make mained maxx c's a necessity for this often slow starting deck. The return of windups would likely lead to the return of the rabbit dominated rock paper scissors meta of a few months back, as windups often have trouble dealing with first turn laggia or dolkka. Chaos dragons can overcome windups, although sometimes the loop can be costly. It seems that the main reason windups topped this event is due to unpreparedness among the players present. As for me personally, I feel that without this element of surprise, outside of the loop, windups really cannot control the meta. I don't know how many of the feature matches i saw had at least one game end in a first turn loop for the windup player. However, in games where the player had maxx c and drew it at the opportune time, the windup player still got wrecked just as hard as it hit them 2-3 months ago. Windups cannot adapt away their weakness to maxx c without giving up a large portion of their consistency. Adding cards such as dimensional fissure simply opens another element that can clog a windup players first turn hand. Another point this brings up is the resurgence in the value of maxx c perhaps. Will maxx c see a regain in value, even after its reprint? The scariest prospect this opens up is regarding the next banlist.... I can just imagine konami hitting windups and leaving rabbit and inzektors untouched, and saying "see, we fixed it!". I was already in support of a hit to the windup loop, but i dont want to see it at the cost of sacky decks like rabbit and inzektors going untouched. This is just my stumbling low quality post about this.

Art of the smokescreen: Mind games
Ok so, I promised this post in my tourny report on sunday. So, I dueling a smokescreen Inzektor to rabbit player during the tournament. And while this deck is fun, and quite a nice strategy at that, He made a few crucial errors. First of all, he was known. These decks typically do not do well at a local level, as by the time you reach round 4-5, everyone knows what you are playing. This does not mean never play one of these decks at a local level. These decks can be very good at a local level, it is just that they do rely upon keeping your opponent offbalance. It is still possible to keep your opponent off balance even with the trick of your deck known. The key is not to be predictable. The player I defeated on sunday was very very predictable. Every game 2 without fail, in came the rabbit, out went the inzektors. Having watched 2 of his games in the later rounds of the tournament, I knew for a fact that game 2 i would see rabbit. This is a horrible idea. You should never become so predictable that your opponent can predict what you are siding at any given time. A way to carry this out is after G1, get out your side deck and begin laying out cards face-down, as if you are going to side. Be sure to flip through your deck and remove an equal number of cards, also face-down. If it is possible, when your opponent is looking, drop one of the archtypal cards from the side deck stack to reveal what you are siding into. It is very important that this is done smoothly and naturally. Now, when your opponent digs through their side looking for their anti-whatever side cards, inconspicously put the original cards back in the deck, and return the side decked cards to the side. Now, Be sure to hold out on revealing what your playing until the last possible moment. Don't do it to the point where it costs you the game, but give your opponents a chance to use that prohibition on the rabbit sitting in your side deck, rather than the hornet in your hand. Another thing to remember is to keep matchups in mind. Siding in to rabbit may surprise a chaos dragon player. However, will that surprise make up for the horrible matchup that is rabbit vs. Dragons? Doubtful. Also, smokescreens should always take advantage of current side deck cards for a deck. An example would be if the standard side deck against rabbit is 2 snowman eater and spirit reaper, siding out any veilers and fiendish chains (just an example). This meta makes a rabbit smokescreen into inzektor a very viable option for the meta. However, if the rabbit side also doubles as a side for inzektor, the time may not be so perfect. I just felt this needed to be said, as that player really pissed me off with how obvious it was. That's all for now.

Tournament Report : 6/24/12
Number of participants: 35
Deck used: Chaos Dragons
So I went... Picked up the one solar recharge my locals had in stock before the tournament, couldn't find any others, so it was chaos dragons with 1 solar recharge. Actually played surprisingly well, and I only drew the recharge when it was live so.... Anyway
Round 1:
Vs. ???
G1: He Dark Holed my card trooper and swung with an alexandrite dragon. I lylad away his backrow and otkd him.
G2: Card Trooper got in 1900, He swung over it, and i drew another one.... Normal summoned that one and he flipped torrential?? I tried to reborn it, He dark bribed, clearing his last backrow, and giving me the BLS to complete my OTK set up.
I never did figure out what he was playing....
OO
1-0
Round 2:
Vs. Six Samurai
G1: He veilered my Card Trooper turn 1 then tried to take it back.... He then went off with gateway to get out a barkion and a shock ruler, which i veilered to keep my monster effects. Chaos sorcerer got rid of Barkion, and veiler turned it into black rose, leaving him with 1 card in hand against my four. When samurai try to topdeck..... Bosses kill them.
G2: The thing i remember most in this game was when he had shien and grandmaster vs. my light pulsar and redmd, and He kageki kagemusha's makes catastor, letting me get back another redmd, then drops the -3 Dark hole leaving him topdecking again against my three cards....
OO
2-0
Round 3:
Vs. Hero Drain
G1: He doesnt draw drain but his alius and beast king barbaros take a little out of my lp. Card trooper gets my grave set up, and I rush him, but he manages to prevent my otk. Game state simplifies to his 1 card in hand and topdeck vs. my 4 in hand and onfield chaos sorcerer vs. his one in hand and topdeck. He E-calls for alius, and then monster reborns barbaros at 3000. Barbaros smacks me, but he doesnt summon alius, as he was only at ~2000 lp. I topped tour guide, made leviair, Dropped a lightpulsar, leviair brought back honest and honest bounced itself to inflict the final 2000 damage.
G2: My snowman eater makes his gemini spark dead, and lyla and lance clear out his other backrows, allowing me to make an exabeetle lightpulsar play and attack for game.
OO
3-0
At this time the undefeateds had thinned to 2 inzektor players, 2 chaos dragon players, and 1 inzektor to rabbit smokescreen player.... So, of course the dragon players got paired together xP.
Round 4:
Vs. Chaos Dragons.... This guy didn't know you could revive redmd with pulsar....
G1: A late game future fusion play to attempt an otk used a large amount of bosses, only to be foiled by gorz. He dropped lightpulsar and red eyes after that and I had no answers :(
G2: I don't remember much, but I dropped a couple of dragons to OTK i thinl...
G3: I opened Fufu and heavy storm. My initial push was foiled by gorz, and he tried to counter push with BLS, only to have things turned around on him by DAD.
XOO
4-0
Round 5:
Vs. Inzektor Rabbit smokescreen. These usually don't work very well at a local level, as by this point everyone knew this was what he was running. He also was not very good at the mind games capable with a smokescreen (I'll do a post on this later).
G1: I opened DAD 2 Redmd and 2 chaos sorc.... Luckily I sacked allure of darkness and charge of the light brigade to set me up, and lyla and lance cleared his backrow again, so that my two redmds and a pulsar could otk him.
G2: He sided to rabbit..... Against chaos dragons.... Anyway, he opened a set marshmallon, that my eclipse ran into. He then tour guided into sangan and made leviathan dragon with marshmallon. He proceeded to beat me down a bit with Leviathan and Sangan, until I dropped a chaos sorcerer, which he warninged. I then dropped another chaos and banished leviathan. He veilered my lyla when i attempted to clear his backrow. Next turn he crashed sangan and searched rabbit. He summoned it, only to get stopped by effect veiler. During my turn, Lyla cleared one of his backrows, chaos ate a veiler, and my blind space cleared his dimensional prison, allowing my tribute summoned light pulsar to swing over his rabbit. He conceeded on the following turn with no outs.
OO
5-0
Round 6:
Vs. Inzektors We agreed to split, but played it out to see who got their picture on the wall.
G1: He solemn warningd my lyla, and then when i tried to reborn it, he dropped judgment.... I summoned chaos and banished his beefed up centipede, forcing him to grab back ladybug with sword. He was at 3000. He summoned ladybug, equipped gigamantis, and attacked... right into my lance! Next turn, chaos took the remainder of his lifepoints.
G2: I controlled him from the start. His only inzektor was hornet that was run over, and Then when he dropped dragonfly, I ddcrowed it. I forced out his chalice with mst, and then dropped chaos, which he book of mooned. Dark armed cleared out dragonfly and swung, leaving him topdecking against dad chaos sorc and an in-hand veiler. Game set and match.
\OO
6-0.
So i went 6-0. Lightgrunty was there, but he dropped after round 4. I pulled jank from the prize box, but it was essentially free, so I can't complain. Props to everyone for a fun tournament. I really liked how my deck played, although I would like to test with just 2 recharge. All in all, I had a great time and enjoyed hanging out.

My deck choice for regionals
Some of you may be questioning my deck choice at regionals. I didn't go with stun, but instead i played chaos dragons. Honestly, i feel like stun is just not the deck for this meta. With the game swinging towards momentum rather than advantage, 1-1 control play really does not have much place here. An example would be, i have a banisher, starlight road, dimensional prison and 1200 life points left. My opponent has just his topdeck. If he were to say topdeck a rescue rabbit, well, my cards are irrelevant. With this inability to control, I had to make a meta choice. Rogue or tier. given that i had no rogue decks built for the current meta, i went with the most budget, and in my opinion the best adapted of the current meta decks: chaos dragons. I do not think that chaos dragons are the best meta deck. They aren't. That title belongs without a doubt in my mind to dino rabbit. However, given the state of the current meta, chaos dragons are the deck with the least bad matchups. Lets look at some matchups.
Chaos Dragons vs. .... Dino Rabbit - The decks best matchup. You should lose very few of these.
Inzektors - A 50/50 shot. Whoever gets the more aggressive hand and gets set up first wins.
Windups - If you get looped, you can lose. Otherwise, they are too slow and too small.
Hero Beat - If you can get some monsters in grave, they die fast. just goes to show 2500> 1900.
Dark worlds - Can cause a problem depending on build. If they can get skill drain and grapha up, and heavy storm gets milled, it can be a long day. Otherwise, very easy to otk, and help set up graveyard a lot.
Lets compare this to....
Dino Rabbit vs. ....... Chaos Dragons - A horrible matchup. Everything beats you down and floats.
Inzektors - 50/50 shot. If you give them an opening, they can make your day very unhappy.
Windups - Trouble if they loop. Any other time, they're in trouble.
Hero Beat - If you crack their defense, they die.
Dark Worlds - Auto lose, except in case of dead draws. Grapha > Laggia Attack wise.
Given i don't have the money to play rabbit anyway, its nice to know chaos dragons have better meta matchups than them. This has been a stumbling, low quality post by: Tsgreen

Regionals report: 6/2/12
Hey guys green here. Today i went to a regionals with my current deck, chaos dragons. It was kinda thrown together, main and sidewise, but altogether i felt it did well. Without further ado.
Deck Played: Chaos Dragons
Participants: 505
Round 1:
Dino Rabbit
I lost the die roll.
G1: Rabbit Dna digivolves, and my hand is full of jank. Nothing i can summon or use to fill my grave. I drop a Gorz under Evolzar Dolkka to force out a negation and then Reborn it. Unfortunately he has Fiendish Chain to stop my attack, and Smashing Ground to wipe out my Lifepoints on the following turn.
G2: I saw basically the same jank hand, with one difference: I had a ryko. Ryko got dark holed, and it was rabbits and tour guides from there.
XX
So, A round one loss against my best matchup... Not the best way to start.
0-1
Round 2:
Gladiator Beasts
I lost the die roll.
G1: All i saw was tkro before my ryko killed it, and i threw a large number of big beatsticks at him.
G2: I saw the first GBs. Painfully. I got chariot looped for days. He literally activated the same chariot 2-3 times before killing me finally with bestiari and laquari.
G3: A long drawn out game that ended with my fiendish chained chaos and lyla and bls in hand with judgment set vs. His macro, face-down and chain. Summoned lyla, popped chain, dropped bls and attacked for game.
OXO
1-1
So that was scary... It was also a little worrying that i lost a game to another very good matchup....
Round 3:
Bubblebeat
I lost the die roll.
G1: Heavy storm followed by big beatsticks.
G2: Giant Absolute Zero play clears my board, and his shining sweeps up the rest of my life.
G3: His last resort is a shining, which swings over my redmd. I drop chaos, banish it and attack for game
OXO
2-1
Round 4:
Dark Worlds
This girl goes to my locals sometimes... She ended up X-4
G1: She drew horribly, so the big beaters poked her to death.
G2: She drew slightly less horribly, but not by much.
OO
3-1
Round 5:
Wind-ups
I lost the die roll.... Not that it mattered lol.
G1: I got a game loss for having a few commons in my deck box... REALLY?
G2: He opens wind-up loop + pot of avarice, along with a dark hole for my set ryko, and a warning for my topdecked tour guide.
XX
3-2
So yeah... That was stupid.
Round 6:
Chaos Dragons
I lost the die roll! 6 in a row!!! but this one was also irrelevant xP
G1: On turn 4 he recieved a game loss for not removing his sided decrees and soul takers. I had seen he was playing chaos dragons, but all he saw from me was a tour guide and a sangan.
G2: He drew no bosses other than one chaos sorc i veilered. My DAD REDMD and lightpulsar killed him through 2 set rykos O.O
OO
4-2
Round 7:
Dino Rabbit
I won my first die roll!!! Go ME!
G1: He made a first turn dolkka to kill my ryko. He then booked the lyla i attempted to summon and got over it with guiaba, making laggia in M2. I ripped charge and milled 2!!! Eclipse Wyvern. He negged one with dolkka for some reason. This ended up costing him the game. I searched lyla, normalled it, and used honest to attack over his laggia. M2 i popped one of his backrow and EP i milled some darks.
He summoned guiaba with no targets left in deck and went for some beatdown. I dropped a dark flare adding redmd dragon to hand with wyvern. Banished it and my comeback to control was complete!
G2: A slowpaced early game with him not drawing rabbit. Kabazauls puts in work for him, backed my macro and several warnings. After baiting most of his backrow, i drop tour guide, leviair for lyla and pop macro. He's forced to waste more cards to get rid of leviair, so i drop a lot of damage in the next turn, and he conceeds.
OO
5-2
Round 8:
Gravekeepers
I lose die roll again.
G1: First turn royal tribute. To G2 we go!
G2: I draw outs to his necrovalleys and bring out the pulsar lock.
G3: First turn royal tribute. Again.
XOX
5-3
A disappointing loss to one of my old decks. Royal tribute is too good against this deck.
Round 9
Hero Drain
G1: He doesn't draw skill drain, and REDMD pushes easily through all in its path.
G2: He draws skill drain, but is forced to heavy storm it to get out maestroke when he should have made pearl.
OO
6-3
Final Standing: 71st
The good: Winning against rabbit. Seeing friends. Playing good yugioh, Friend from locals took 12th
The bad: Lost almost every die roll. Getting a DQ for trying to keep my commons mint.
The ugly: Loss to rabbit r1. Not having royal decrees.
Have a nice day gaiz

Aggro Stun Deck Profile
So yeah, This is the aggro stun deck I've been working on. Honestly, It bears a great many similarities to chaos stun, although that was not my intention. The goal of this deck was a stun deck that could still apply pressure to the opponent. While this is no longer truly what i would call a stun deck, it still attempts to maintain control and apply pressure through use of 1-1's and stun cards. Without further ado, card choices.
Monsters: 21
3x Jurrac Guiaba - One of the best cards out there for applying pressure. A +1 and an M2 laggia is always nice xD
3x Thunder King Rai-Oh - A Boss in all matchups but inzektors. just an all around good card.
2x Effect Veiler - With prio gone, this card is definitely main-deck worthy.
2x D.D. Warrior Lady - One of my more controversial decisions, this card gets the nod over snowman eater in the main deck. The simple reason is because she is faster. A 1500 beater is better than a 0 beater when you try to press the advantage.
2x Spirit Reaper - An excellent Stall card, that can also press the attack and neutralize hand advantage. Also excellent bait for effect veiler.
2x Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer - An excellent removal card, also can lock down chaos dragons pretty hard.
2x Doomcaliber Knight - A good card and all around 1-1 removal card.
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Broken - A one card win condition. Even without priority, broken cards are still broken.
3x Tour Guide of the Underworld - An overpowered card with many incredible combos... while expensive, This card opens up so many plays that on DN its hard not to play.
1x Sangan - Tour guide target.
Spells: 11
3x Mystical Space Typhoon - Its hard to aggro without 3 of these to deal with pesky backrows.
2x Forbidden Lance - Both Protection and removal. What more can you ask?
2x Pot of Duality - Two is good, avoid clog against thunder king while still adding consistency.
1x Monster Reborn - Staples are staples
1x Dark hole - See above.
1x Book of Moon - Good card = good card
1x Heavy Storm - See Monster Reborn
Traps: 8
2x Torrential Tribute - Good traps are good
2x Solemn Warning - Staple Traps are good
1x Solemn Judgment - Every deck should run this
1x Mirror Force - Its unexpected and can turn games around
2x Fiendish Chain - Stops a lot of things in the meta right now.
I'm not going to analyze the side and extra... They are just randomly derped together anyway, Nothing special. So yeah, Have a nice day and remember: Go Rogue or Go Home!

Tsgreen is alive?
Hey guys, Green here. Its been awhile, and i would honestly like to apologize for this. Yours truly has been caught up in a lot of schoolwork and stuff, and didn't have much time for yugioh. However, I would like to announce that I have decided to quit playing my classic antimeta stun for the remainder of the format. Simple matchups I ran into at YCS Long Beach (no report on this, I scrubbed out horribly) showed me that stun as i would like to play it simply does not seem viable enough in this sort of meta. A Topdecked Thunder king raioh does nothing to a topdecked dragonfly with hornet in grave. That being said, I feel that This meta still has more than enough good cards to make a somewhat more aggressive "GoodCardStun.dek". More on that later. So yeah, this is just to let you know I am still among the living. A big thank you to Lightgrunty for the comment that reminded me this existed lol. A new post on good cards in aggro will be coming soon XD.

Going Rogue?
Hey guys, its tsgreen with another post today... This one is on rogue decks... First of all, what truly makes a rogue deck? In the current March 2012 TCG meta, rogue decks consist of any deck that is not Wind-ups, Inzektors, or Dino Rabbit. So basically anything not tier one... Some Characteristics of Rogue decks at the moment are:
Higher Trap Count:
The higher trap count of rogue decks is meant to slow down opponents and restrict gamepace. Their relative lack of efficiency means they rely more on one for one removal, and "antimeta" cards to disrupt opponents plays.
Big Monsters:
Whether 1900 normal summon beatsticks (Hero Beat, Stun, T.G.'s), or giant special summon bosses (Dark Worlds, Agents), most truly effective rogue decks rely on beating down their opponents. The advantage grind used by these monsters, comboed with the higher trap count mentioned previously, allows these decks to force their opponents to make suboptimal plays, around cards such as Doomcaliber Knight, and Thunder King Rai-oh.
Immunity to Common Maindecked Cards
As rogue decks, they can avoid common cards that combat the meta. Let's take the example of veiler in the Dark World Match-up. Would u like to veiler Grapha sir? lol... This immunity allows rogue decks to combat the meta. Rogue decks that fall prey to these techs (Junk Doppel, Fableds etc.) have difficulty succeeding in the competitive longterm setting of a Nationals or YCS.
The Bottom Line: To Be Truly successful, rogue decks need these three things, and one other, perhaps more important...
The Element... Of.... SURPRISE!!!!!!!
Simply put, rogue decks do not tend to succeed if people expect them. Take for example, the success of Chaos Stun at YCS KC. Or Six Sams At YCS Guadalajara...
So, Be Sure to Remember these factors, and to GO ROGUE OR GO HOME!

Deck Profile: Heroes of the Abyss
So, as i screwed with card interactions on dueling network today, I came up with this, while contemplating the new synchro, Void Ogre Dragon. For those who don't know, this is a level 8 dark dragon synchro that can only be brought out using a dark tuner. Its effect is once per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card while no cards are in your hand: You can negate that activation and destroy that card. I hit upon the idea of using it in bubbleman beat, and this was the result....
Now some cards, and the reasoning behind them....
Koichi the Daybreak- This is the only truly splashable level 4 dark tuner... With the low monster count required of this deck, Witch of the Black Rose is not viable, and Trap Eater isn't viable in this format. Vanadis is not splashable, leaving this as the only option.
Sangan- Helps searches into koichi or bubbleman to make void ogre.
Neos Alius- Helps dictate game pace and grind for advantage
Bubbleman- this + koichi turn 1 will make void ogre dragon... also helps for the blade armor otk.
Call of the haunted- Fetch back heroes to make void ogre... Plus off stratos... nuff said...
SLR- Gotta protect all the backrows xD
So leave comments on what you think... Tsgreen, out!

Randomness #1
So, as a stun player, people are always asking me how i can enjoy playing a deck that has a basic strategy of "set 5, go"... In my personal opinion, that is not the concept behind stun. Stun is a deck that takes advantage of pluses and minuses to get the game to a point where the opponent is down to topdecking. This usually being done through 1-1 exchanges, and as such, the player is forced down to topdecking also. This is where the secondary aspect of stun comes in, viable topdecks. Stun decks, to be an optimal build, should run a minimal number of suboptimal cards... These are cards that are only good situationally such as pot of avarice, call of the haunted etc... The viability of stun players topdecking cards like Thunder King and Smashing ground as opposed to opponent's Mind Control and Effect Veiler is what makes the deck succeed when it does. This means that efficient stun decks should avoid playing "dead draws" such as multiples of starlight road, shrink, and shards of greed. In truth, setting 4-5 backrows is not stuns entire strategy, it is just what facilitates the true strategy of the deck. It is much easier to get 1-1 and even 2-1 and 3-1 exchanges with spell and traps than it is to get them with monsters, and as such, stun is reliant on these types of cards. The last portion of stun is the antimeta... Cards such as kycoo and banisher do not create even exchanges or plusses by themselves, so some might ask, why bother to play them? The simple reasoning behind this is because these cards help decrease the effeciency of the opponent's topdecks. For example, What use is a topdecked BLS-EOTB if the opponent does not have a light or dark because it was removed by banisher or kycoo? What use is that topdecked Tour Guide if fossil dyna is faceup on board? It is the ability to nullify opponents topdecks that makes stun viable. So that's just my quick two cents xD
Til next time, tsgreen!

Tournament Report 3/4/12
I went with one of my friends, who will henceforth be known as the sackiest asian alive, or Asian for short... He played Blackwings, and I was using a personal favorite, Antimeta Stun...
Blackwings Sackwings
Round 1
Little Kid with machina gadgets
G1: General stun tactics killed him... he didn't know you couldn't pitch Fortress to summon Fortress with Banisher out, so he lost from there.....
G2: More stun tactics... And more inexperience on his part.... ah well.... makes me a little guilty
OO
1-0
Round 2
Wind-ups!!!!
G1: Luckily, I won the die roll, and was able to set up to stop the loops... From there the deck just fell apart, as Spirit reaper and Kycoo ripped hand and grave to pieces...
G2: She didn't have the loop, and I was able to push from there... when she finally got significant monsters on board, book stopped her and Dark Hole cleaned it up... failure to set her topdecked s/t cards allowed Spirit Reaper to keep her down for the remainder of the game...
OO
2-0
Round 3
I was at table one at this point :)
Lightsworn/Twilight
P.S. this guy was pretty cool, he hung after the tourny and we played a lot of games...
G1: I opened up with a jank hand of Thunder king rai-oh , two Compulsory Evacuation Device MST Solemn Judgment and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole... I opened with Thunder King and 4 backrows, and he Dark holed thunder king, and summoned lyla to destroy my judgment... I proceed to fail to draw any more monsters and die to his lumina-based swarm...
G2: He sides like 14 cards, so i was expecting a conversion side.... he actually just sided in a bunch of backrows and Thunder Kings.... I open up Banisher of the Radiance and a set Dimensional Prison... He proceeds to swing into it with his Thunder King Raioh... i eventually made leviair to steal his thunder king, while still in total control of the game... BANISHER WINS GAMES!!!!

G3: MOAR BANISHER!!!! Banisher is the mvp in this matchup, and if it can be protected for a few turns, they do what he does, and minus to get rid of it xD.. allowing my late game Fossil Dyna Pachychepalo to control him to poke repeatedly for game.
XOO
3-0
Round 4
At this point there were 7 undefeateds left... being at table 1, i was ensured a spot in top 8... among the other undefeateds was my friend Asian, who had apparently been sacking limited cards left and right...
I was up against chaos stun, but i didnt play this very seriously...
G1: I used solemn judgment on his Breaker and it went downhill from there....
G2: I was one turn away from game... When his topdecked Heavy Storm blew away my Shadow Imprisoning Mirror and his Black Luster Soldier- Envoy of the Beginning stepped on my face for game
XX
3-1
However, as previously stated i was in the top 8 xD...
TOP 8
Inzektors
G1: Dead Draws for him, plus his overextension with a hornet gigamantis play allowed me to take this one....
G2: He dead drew more, and was locked by my Shadow Imprisoning Mirror, until he finally Armor Blasted it, although from there I blew him away, as he failed to topdeck anything significant....
OO
ONWARDS TO TOP 4
And I was in a matchup against my friend, Asian...
We agreed to a split ahead of time, but decided to play it out anyway...
Top 4
G1: We dueled it out, with me taking the advantage until i had him down to just his topdeck with 2000 lp left, and me controlling Thunder King Rai-oh, Spirit Reaper, and a set Starlight Road... he drew, and passed his turn... i topped Dimensional Prison, which looked like a good way to protect my 1300 remaining lps... i attacked with Reaper expecting game and was stunned when he dropped... Gorz the Emissary of Darkness... I attacked over the token, and set Dimensional Prison and ended... Surely with my 4 cards and obvious out to his Gorz, there was no way he could win, right? He drew for turn... and blindly Mystical Space Typhoon'd my Dimensional Prison.... his Gorz then attacked my Spirit Reaper for game....
G2: This game went on stun as normal, but unfortunately for me i had lackluster topdecks of Mind Control and Forbidden Lance, and was subsequently otked by his Dark Armed Dragon, Blackwing Armed Wing, and Stardust Dragon....
XX
So the other two in top 4 agreed to a four-way split... but unfortunately... we got a HA5 box off of the die so, we were forced to trade in our holos, netting us $3.00 a piece.... Ah well....
So the deck I played was this...
Side and extra decks were pretty generic.... no need to give away all my secrets right?
cya round... Tsgreen!
Intro + me
Hey random yugimonz, I'm just a generic semibudget yugioh player who decided to make a blog. That being said, the majority of my posts will be tourny reports, deck ideas, and explaining my ideas about my favorite mechanics of yugioh: stun and control. I'm on dn as tsgreen so hit me up. If anybody with a yugioh blog sees this I would really appreciate a listing to help get started! thanks! first tourny report should be up soon :)
